Brian McManus, Founder

Brian McManus began his insurance career at Lloyd’s of London with Stewart Smith Company, where he developed a foundation in international underwriting and complex risk placement. Upon returning to Chicago, he became Vice President of McManus & Pellouchoud’s Midwest office, specializing in construction underwriting and national accounts with projects spanning Chicago, Montreal, Phoenix, Detroit, New York, and Florida.

In 1982, Brian founded Robert B. McManus, Inc., establishing the excellence, technical expertise, and client‑first approach that continue to guide the firm today. His legacy of deep industry knowledge, personal service, and unwavering commitment to clients remains the cornerstone of the company’s identity and ongoing success.

Since joining the firm in 2002, Maureen has been central to shaping its relationship‑driven service model, technical expertise, and commitment to client advocacy.

Her decades of hands‑on experience across complex commercial insurance programs—combined with the mentorship and legacy of Brian—position her to carry the firm forward while honoring the values on which it was built.
